Guests traveling with babies or young children are encouraged to review individual cabin descriptions to ensure the space is a good fit. Our property is off-grid and immersed in nature, with features such as wood-fired saunas, forest trails, and uneven terrain.

A pet fee of $25 per pet applies. Pets must not be left unattended in cabins.

Will there be bugs?2025-12-22T21:10:50+00:00

Yes — Tin Poppy Retreat is located in a natural, forested setting.
Bugs are part of the outdoor experience, particularly in the spring and early summer. If you’re sensitive, we recommend bringing insect repellent.

What time is check-in and check-out?2025-12-22T21:11:48+00:00

Check-in is anytime after 4:00 pm, and check-out is by 10:00 am.
If you’re hoping for an earlier check-in, please get in touch — we’re often happy to accommodate when availability allows.

Which cabins have a sauna?2025-12-22T21:12:29+00:00

All of our year-round cabins have access to a private wood-fired sauna.
Please note that the original Tin Poppy cabin does not currently have a sauna.

Which accommodations have wi-fi?2025-12-22T21:13:14+00:00

Wi-Fi is available at the Tin Poppy cabin and the Lavender cabin.
Our other cabins are off-grid and intentionally designed for a more unplugged, nature-based stay.

All cabins are equipped with cookware, dishes, utensils, bedding, and towels.
Guests should bring their own food, clothing, and toiletries. If you’re staying in one of our off-grid cabins (Violet or Wild Rose), a headlamp or flashlight is also recommended.

At this time, we do not offer DIY weddings.
Tin Poppy Retreat specializes in beautifully curated, all-inclusive elopement and micro-wedding packages. Please get in touch with us for more details.

Yes, we welcome retreats.

Do I need 4 wheel drive to get to the Tin Poppy?2025-12-22T21:20:05+00:00

During winter conditions, we recommend a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Full refunds given for reservations cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival less a $50 CDN processing fee.

There are no refunds for reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival.
