Tin Poppy Cabin | off-grid glamping in the shuswap, BC

A design-forward vintage getaway for families — with hot water, electricity, and Wi-Fi if you want it.

Retro design, modern comforts

The namesake of the retreat, Tin Poppy is a unique off-grid glamping cabin nestled in the Larch Hills near Salmon Arm, BC. Solar-powered and one-of-a-kind, it blends retro-inspired design with modern comfort for an unforgettable stay in the heart of the Shuswap.

A beautifully restored 1953 vintage mobile home, wrapped in a spacious modern screened-in building. Inside the structure you’ll find a powder room with a flushing toilet and sink, while just steps away is a private outdoor shower with hot water on demand.

Sleeping up to seven guests, the cabin features a Queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, queen-size dinette bed, a single bed in the private mid-room, and a double futon in the screened-in space. Upstairs, a cozy loft offers stunning valley views and the perfect spot for stargazing.

The kitchenette includes an apartment-sized fridge and freezer, a gas stove, and everything needed for simple meals. Outside, enjoy the barbecue deck, propane provided, large fire pit, seasonal herb garden, and 14 km of private maintained trails right outside your door.

With Wi-Fi available when needed, Tin Poppy Cabin is perfect for couples, friends, and families seeking a unique glamping getaway. Open from April to mid-October—then we tuck her in for the winter.
