A Micro Wedding Venue in British Columbia Designed for Meaningful Celebrations
At Tin Poppy Retreat, we began by hosting intimate elopements surrounded by forest, cabins, and private trails in British Columbia’s beautiful Shuswap region. Over time, many couples wanted to include immediate family and close friends while still keeping the experience relaxed and meaningful.
Our Emerald Hall Micro Wedding Package was created for couples who want something larger than an elopement but smaller and more intentional than a traditional wedding. With space for up to 25 guests, it offers a stress-free way to celebrate without sacrificing beauty, comfort, or connection.

What Makes Emerald Hall Different?
Emerald Hall is a light-filled, solar-powered wedding venue surrounded by forest, meadows, and mountain views. Large windows bring the outdoors in, while warm wood finishes, greenery, and natural light create an elegant atmosphere that feels relaxed rather than formal.
Unlike many traditional venues, couples and guests stay onsite, allowing everyone to slow down, settle in, and enjoy the celebration together.

Stay Together on a Private Forest Retreat
One of the most unique aspects of our micro wedding experience is the onsite accommodation. Couples and guests stay together on our private forest retreat, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a destination wedding than a traditional venue rental.
Guests can explore over 14 kilometres of trails, relax in wood-fired saunas, enjoy quiet moments in nature, and gather around shared meals throughout the weekend.

A Relaxed Wedding Weekend Experience
Most couples arrive the day before their wedding and settle into one of our private cabins. The evening often includes a casual gathering, rehearsal, or simply time spent relaxing with loved ones.
On the wedding day, there is no rushing between locations. Everything happens onsite, allowing couples to enjoy a slower pace and spend more meaningful time with family and friends.
After the ceremony, guests enjoy cocktails, dinner, and dancing before retiring to their cabins just steps away from the venue.

Sustainability at Tin Poppy Retreat
Tin Poppy Retreat is proudly solar powered. Sustainability influences many of the decisions we make, from our energy systems to our partnerships with local businesses and vendors.
We believe beautiful weddings and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand, allowing couples to celebrate while treading lightly on the landscape around them.
