All-Inclusive Micro Weddings in British Columbia at Emerald Hall

At Tin Poppy Retreat, we’ve been hosting intimate, nature-based celebrations since 2015. What began as a quiet off-grid elopement venue has naturally evolved into something a little bigger, thoughtfully designed all-inclusive micro wedding packages in British Columbia for up to 25 guests, without losing the ease, beauty, and sustainability that define our retreat.

Emerald Hall is where these celebrations unfold, a light-filled, solar-powered space surrounded by forest, meadows, and cabins, created for couples who want a meaningful, stress-free way to get married in BC.

Tin Poppy Retreat started with elopements — couples seeking a private, eco-friendly wedding experience surrounded by nature. Over the years, we noticed many of our couples wanted to include a few more people: immediate family, close friends, children, and grandparents.

Today, we offer micro weddings in for up to 25 guests, designed with the same ease and intention as our original elopements. Everything is thoughtfully curated, so couples can truly be present, not planning, coordinating, or managing logistics.

Emerald Hall — A Solar-Powered Atrium Wedding Venue

Emerald Hall is the heart of our micro wedding experience. This solar-powered, off-grid wedding hall is designed like a light-filled atrium, with living plants, climbing vines, and expansive open air screening that blur the line between indoors and out.

It’s elegant without feeling formal, lush without being overdone, a space that feels alive.

How a Tin Poppy Micro Wedding Weekend Unfolds

Arrival & The Night Before

Most of our micro wedding packages include a two-night stay. Guests arrive the day before the wedding and settle into one of our four private off-grid cabins.

Couples usually host a relaxed evening at Lavender Cabin, our largest space. Some choose catered dinners, while others fire up the grill and keep things casual. The marriage commissioner often arrives this evening as well, allowing for a relaxed walk-through before the big day.

The Wedding Morning — Slow, Grounded & Unrushed

Wedding mornings here are intentionally calm, with no rushing from hair to makeup to ceremony. Couples and their families spend the day walking forest trails, enjoying private sauna sessions, booking a yoga class in our on-site studio, or heading out to golf and explore the surrounding area. It’s a rare chance for everyone to slow down and truly connect before the celebration begins.

Ceremony in the Meadow

Ceremonies typically begin around 4:30 pm, when the light is soft and golden. Guests gather in our meadow just steps from Emerald Hall, where an eight-foot live wreath — adorned with seasonal local flowers — frames the moment.

Cocktails, Dinner & Dancing Under the Disco Ball

After the ceremony, the couple heads off with their photographer (included in the package), while guests enjoy a local grazing table and cocktails inside Emerald Hall.

Dinner arrives around 6:30 pm, planned in advance with the caterer to accommodate dietary needs. Then the music starts — and guests dance beneath the disco ball, surrounded by hanging vines and warm light.

A Stress-Free, Affordable & Meaningful Way to Get Married

At 11 pm, Emerald Hall closes — but the celebration often continues back at Lavender Cabin. Some couples also choose to add an extra night so there’s no rush to leave the next morning.

Our goal is to offer one of the best all-inclusive micro wedding packages in British Columbia — one that’s both affordable and thoughtfully designed. Starting your marriage without excess waste, stress, or pressure feels like the right beginning.

We feel incredibly honoured to be part of these celebrations and to help couples start their next chapter in a way that feels intentional, joyful, and true.
