• No. Tin Poppy Retreat carries the venue insurance required for weddings held on the property. Outside vendors are responsible for carrying their own liability insurance.

  • If alcohol will be served during an Emerald Hall Wedding or Tin Poppy Micro Wedding, you’ll need to obtain a BC Special Event Permit. Special Event Permits are not required for our intimate elopement packages.

  • Our Emerald Hall Wedding Package includes catering. Our Tin Poppy Micro Wedding package allows you to hire your favourite caterer, choose from our recommended caterers, or prepare your own meal.

  • Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own photographer, florist, hair stylist, musician, or other vendors. For everyone’s protection, all outside vendors must carry commercial liability insurance while working at Tin Poppy Retreat.

  • Absolutely. We encourage couples to schedule a tour so you can explore the ceremony spaces, boutique cabins, Emerald Hall, and the beautiful forest setting before making your decision.

  • A non-refundable deposit secures your wedding date. The remaining balance is typically paid in two installments approximately six months and two months before your wedding. Flexible payment schedules are available whenever possible.

  • Yes. Tin Poppy Retreat specializes in all-inclusive weddings, micro weddings, and elopements in British Columbia. Depending on the package you choose, your wedding can include accommodations, planning, décor, flowers, photography, catering, your marriage commissioner, ceremony setup, and more—allowing you to simply relax and enjoy your day.
