• Yes! Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join your adventure. We ask that pets are supervised at all times, kept off the beds and furniture, and that owners clean up after them. There is a $25 pet fee that you can add to your reservation during booking.

  • When seasonal fire restrictions allow, each cabin has a private fire pit for evening campfires. During provincial fire bans, campfires are not permitted. Firewood can be pre-ordered for $20 per bundle or you’re welcome to bring your own.

  • Check-in is anytime after 4:00 p.m., and check-out is by 11:00 a.m. Self check-in instructions will be emailed before your arrival.

  • We recommend bringing: Your favourite ground coffee (French press provided) Food and beverages A headlamp or flashlight for evening walks to the outhouse Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear Slippers or cozy indoor shoes Personal toiletries Everything else including bedding, towels, cookware, dishes, drinking water, cooking essentials, and firewood for heating is provided.

  • There is generally cell service around the cabins, depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is not available in the off-grid cabins, giving you the opportunity to disconnect and fully enjoy your off-grid getaway.

  • No. These cabins are intentionally off-grid and do not have household electricity. Lighting is provided by propane lanterns and rechargeable lanterns, allowing you to unplug and enjoy a peaceful stay in nature.

  • During the winter months, we strongly recommend a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle with good winter tires. The final few kilometres to Tin Poppy Retreat are gravel mountain roads that can be snowy or icy during winter conditions.

  • Yes. You can drive directly to the cabin, and parking is available right beside it.

  • The cabins are equipped with propane lights as well as rechargeable lanterns. To light a propane lantern, slowly turn the control knob and hold a lit match just below the mantle. Avoid touching the mantle with the match, as it is delicate and can break. Once lit, adjust the brightness using the control knob. Complete

  • Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own firewood for the campfire. If you’d rather travel light, campfire wood can be pre-ordered when booking your stay for $20 per bundle.
